This Hot Yoga / Training sauna is a great tool for getting a maximum benefit from your workouts! It can be used for all kinds of exercise, not just for yoga. When regular exercise is combined with external heat, there are added benefits, such as:
The base price includes a 5'x7' sauna room with a strong upgraded 8 KW heater. All the larger sizes are priced on top of that minimum option. The yoga saunas come in 4 different sizes: 5x7, 5x8, 6x7 and 6x8 ft. Our largest unit , the 6x8, includes a strong upgraded 9 KW heater. One of main features is the bench that can be flipped up, so you have almost all of the floor space available for working out. You can still use the benches as normal 1-tier sauna benches and use this as you would use a regular sauna!

The bench can be lifted up for maximum floor space, and you can still use it like in a normal sauna!
4 wall handles
You can optionally add a total of 4 wall handles to help with your training exercises.
You can choose to have either 1 window on either left or right side of the door, or two windows on both sides of the door. It is also possible to have the sauna without windows. The windows are 12" by 60", in addition to the cedar framed glass door that comes standard with all Dundalk Yoga saunas.
This training sauna comes with two vents for a very important reason. When working out in an enclosed space, you may start to run out of fresh air. The heat makes your heart rate increase, so your body needs even more oxygen. The dual vent solution keeps the air flowing throughout your training session, so you can keep going!
Whether you are a professional athlete or just otherwise serious about your training, heat will work wonders for your performance. When you get used to training in heat, your body goes through heat adaptation. It means that when you then work out in normal temperatures, your body's ability to cool itself down is much higher than without heat adaptation. You can keep on going faster and longer than without heat added training. There are studies that show that heat training even exceeds the benefits of altitude training.
Another benefit from heat training is the psychological aspect of added stress in training. When you get used to training in a tough, hot environment, in normal temperatures you can just laugh, while your competition is suffering. Heat training has been shown to lead to increased blood plasma volumes, meaning that you will have a clear physiological edge from your training.
While group exercise has its benefits, sweating for 90 minutes straight in a rigid program is not for everyone. Many people say that hot yoga studios often develop are noticeable smell, just because there are so many people sweating - one group after the other. With your own yoga sauna, you won't need to worry about this. You can also exercise at a pace that is 100% controlled by you, and not "forced" by an instructor. As you have the training space at your home, you are much more likely to train more often in your sauna, getting the full benefit.
Privacy - When doing yoga in skimpy clothing surrounded by strangers, not everyone feels comfortable enough with their body. Even though the best solution in this case is to just not care about what other people think, sometimes it's easier said than done. When you do your yoga in a private space, you don't have this worry. In your own sauna, you can wear exactly the type of clothes you want and be exactly the way you are - worry free!
As the heat is an added stress to your body, you shouldn't take training in a hot environment lightly. Like everything in life, if you overdo it, too much of a good thing can turn into a bad thing. You should also avoid training in a sauna if you're pregnant or have cardiovascular problems. Always consult your doctor. These are the main dangers of hot yoga training:
Of course, the way to prevent these from becoming a problem is to listen to your body! It can't be overstated how important this is, so make sure you're always on the lookout for these warning signs:
Start slow and easy and work your way up. That way you can also develop knowledge of your own body and the limits of your physique. When you do that, you can start pushing them safely! And of course, always remember to stay well hydrated and have breaks often!
Heat added training and hot yoga are advanced forms of training. If you're not in a good physical condition, or just aren't sure what your fitness level is, start your training in normal temperatures. When you have established your own base level and feel confident to take on an extra challenge, turn the sauna on mild heat and see how the same exercises feel there. Then you can increase the heat and times you spend in the sauna. Start slow and listen to your body!
