Like our more traditional Saunas, Infrareds deliver great health benefits with the advantage of a lower price point when compared to our Finnish-style models.
This guide will give you a better understanding of Infrared Saunas, as well as help you choose the HealthMate model that best suits your lifestyle and needs.

They have been manufacturing Infrared Saunas in the US since 1979, combining the longevity and sturdiness of the Red Cedar Wood with the latest technology.
HealthMate saunas are healthy and safe. They have a Low EMF (Electromagnetic Field) Certification (more on that later) and a 100% toxic-free construction, which means that you’ll experience the best that Infrared Saunas can offer.
These Infrared Saunas also have the PEFC™ Certificate, guaranteeing that the Red Cedar wood they use comes from sustainable sources. HealthMate saunas are easy to assemble, like our Traditional models, but unlike our Finnish-style outdoor saunas, they are ideal for indoor spaces.
Differences between Finnish Saunas and Infrared Saunas
There is a lot of misinformation out there regarding the health benefits of both Traditional and Infrared Saunas, and the opinions are very divided. Some might even wonder whether Infrared Saunas are real saunas.
Although Infrareds are relatively new, both saunas have scientifically proven health benefits. Those benefits may vary in intensity (you may need more use of an Infrared Sauna to get the same results a Traditional Sauna would bring), but they are mostly the same because their active “ingredient” is equal - heat.

How do Infrared Saunas Work?
In Infrared Saunas, the heat radiates throughout your body and warms it up directly. In a traditional sauna, the heat comes from the heater air and its interaction with the humidity. You’ll feel the heat more evenly. HealthMate saunas also allow for ventilation and come with a ceiling vent so you can get a little fresh air while relaxing in your sauna.
Infrared Saunas are also easier to use overall. The installation process is pretty simple (even in city apartments), and the heat-up time is also shorter compared to a Traditional Sauna because they operate at lower temperatures. For that same reason, Infrareds use less electricity and waste less heat in your house/apartment.
This means that, if you’re a busy city person who doesn’t have that much time to do all of the Traditional Sauna rituals, you’ll still be able to enjoy a sauna bath with an Infrared.
Are Infrared Saunas Safe?
When it comes to Infrared Saunas, the biggest concern is the exposure to Electromagnetic Fields (EMF). Although the scientific field still didn’t reach common ground regarding the safety of exposure to EMF, the International Commission On Non-ionizing Radiation Protection Agency defined the limit of exposure to Magnetic Fields as 100 at 50 Hz and Electric fields as 5000 at 50 Hz.
You’ll never experience those levels with HealthMate saunas. The heaters in those saunas have Ultra Low EMF emissions, hence guaranteeing your safety.

The Different HealthMate Sauna Models
We are introducing three different collections of HealthMate saunas: the Renew series, the Enrich series, and the Restore series. All of them have different size options and extra accessories to choose from.
1. Renew series
If you’re looking to get all of the essential features of Infrared Saunas at a more affordable price, the Renew series is ideal. It’s the introductory series to the HealthMate Infrared Saunas.

2. Enrich series
The Enrich series is a step up from the Renew and includes more functional and luxurious features, such as:

- Reservation Mode;
- Exterior Lighting;
- 96 Diode Near-Infrared LED;
- Ergonomic Bench;
- Lower Back and Floor Heaters;
- Mirrored Privacy Glass;

This model comes in three different sizes as well: for 2 people (with 8 heaters), 3 people (with 10 heaters), and the Corner edition (with 11 heaters), which is (as the name states) specially made to fit the corners of rooms. Also, it has less glass than the Renew collection, which decreases the heat reduction and infrared dissipation when compared to models with larger glass surfaces.
3. Restore series
The Restore series is our top-tier and comes in two luxurious models: the Restore Elevated Health and the Restore Therapy Lounge.
a. Restore Elevated Health
This unique bi-level sauna allows multiple people to enjoy the sauna simultaneously. With two rows of bench seating, the possibilities are endless. In the HealthMate Restore Elevated Health Infrared Sauna, two people can recline alone on each level of the benches or enjoy the sauna with the family. This sauna includes:
