Dundalk oval Ofuro type hot tubs are perfect for relaxation. Enjoy all-natural hydrotherapy in this pure wood soaking hot tub. You can use this Japanese Ofuro type tub in two ways: either as a fully off the grid warm bath heated by firewood, or as a cold plunge pool for maximum health benefits.
If you want to relax in a warm bath, the external heater is a great way to quickly heat up the water. The heater is a very safe design, as it keeps the fire contained in a separate burner outside the tub. This also ensures that all of the space inside the tub is available for use. This oval tub comes in the size of 2.5 x 5 ft., making it perfect for 1-2 people. It is 2.5 feet high with an inside depth of 25 inches.
Dundalk hot tubs are perfect for relaxing outdoors in any weather. Even if it's snowing, the hot water mass will keep you warm for as long as you like. The efficient design of the heater will heat the tub water from 45º F to 105º F in about 2 hours. As the design is all natural, no filtration, chemicals or pumps are needed. This is a perfect choice for enjoying the nature in any off-grid setting!

Because it is a beautiful combination of form and function. Let's talk about the "form" first: it is just a pleasure for the senses. The natural aromatic smell, further enhanced by the warm water, is something that synthetic materials won't give you. The cedar is also weather-resistant, keeping it's beautiful look much longer than other types of wood.
The "functions" are not lacking either. Maybe one of the most important features in a tub wood is the mold resistance. Cedar is specifically resistant to mold. Another thing it resists are bug such as moths, so you don't need to worry about infestations even if you leave the tub without use for some time.
The main upgrade with the oval tub is the wood heater. While this is not strictly necessary if you can heat your water by other means, it is highly recommended. Heating up between 350 to 900 gallons of water takes a significant amount of energy. While other heaters might struggle, the wood-fired heater has no issues in heating the water to a perfect temperature in just a few hours.
You have two choices of tub covers: wooden cedar cover, or vinyl & foam cover. They both serve two purposes: they keep the water hot over night, as the cover prevents the main cause of cooling: evaporation. Think of having a lid in your coffee: it will keep warm much longer than without one. The other benefit from having a lid is protection from flying debris and bugs. The cover will also make it difficult for small kids to climb in unsupervised. The vinyl cover comes in Teak color by default, and for additional price, you can also choose from 11 other custom colors.

Dundalk LeisureCraft Inc. warrants their cedar hot tubs against defects in materials and workmanship under normal/residential use for a period of five (5) years, as applicable, from the date of receipt of the product by the original end-user consumer.
This warranty does not apply to normal wear and tear and/or natural weather conditions.
This warranty does not cover regular required maintenance of the hot tub, (eg. tightening bands) refer to your hot tub assembly manual for maintenance guidelines.
This warranty does not cover misuse or negligence and the manufacturer and associated retailers are not liable for any injury or damage caused by the product.
This warranty does not cover burned or melted hot tub heaters do to starting the fire without water in the heater and hot tub, DO NOT light a fire in the heater until the heater and tub or both full with water.
This warranty is a parts only warranty and any service or labor costs would not be considered as part of the 5 year warranty.

All Dundalk saunas and hot tubs are custom made to order, and delivered as a crated pre-fabricated kit to you. Manufacturing the saunas and hot tubs takes 15-20 weeks and shipping takes about 5-7 days.
The products are delivered in a 7/16" thick plywood crates. The size varies based on the product size, and they look like this:
This kind of crating guarantees that you receive the sauna or hot tub kit in the same condition as it left the factory.
Free shipping is free to a loading dock, such as a shipping terminal near you. If you can arrange your own transportation from there on, that's great! If not, no worries! We have extra services available to have the product sent straight to your home. For smaller saunas and hot tubs, this residential delivery service includes liftgate service, so that the crate is unloaded from the delivery truck to the curbside at your home.
Liftgate deliveries are only available on the 92" or shorter sauna crates. Most saunas need 2 people & lifting equipment, or the building crew on-site to help with the unloading. Sometimes the cheapest option for the larger saunas may be to have it delivered to the nearest terminal, and renting a truck or a trailer to move it from there to your home or cabin.
Renting a trailer may be a good choice!

The sauna crate sizes vary from 84" x 45" 32" weighing 680 lbs (smallest indoor cabin saunas) to 174" x 45" x 42" with 1765 lbs weight (8x8 ft. Pod sauna room with 4 ft. changeroom and 2 ft. porch). For most saunas, you can find the crate dimensions & weight information in the specification / measurement files. If you have questions about the dimensions or weight, please contact us.
The residential deliveries are only available to easy access areas (with "normal" roads where trucks can drive easily). Depending on the situation, there might be extra costs associated with hard to reach areas, such as cabins. If unsure, please contact us and we will get you a shipping quote.

With freight shipments there are generally two types of damage that can occur:
With Dundalk crates the concealed damage is rare, as the wood parts are not easily damaged. If there are any damages or item shortages, make a note of these on the delivery receipt. It is important to be specific, so later insurance claims can be processed quickly and easily. It is also recommended to take pictures of the damage if you can. Visible damage needs to be reported on the delivery receipt, and concealed damages within 72 hours.

Timo, also known as Timo the Saunaman, was also born in Finland. He's been living in the US for most of his life, and has been designing and building saunas for the US market since 1995. He focuses on designing custom built traditional Finnish style saunas. He has worked together with Finnleo and Finlandia Saunas on projects ranging from small home saunas to large commercial and governmental projects.
Timo was also chosen and given the honor of designing and specifying materials for the early 1900's log sauna restoration project at the National Nordic Museum in Seattle, WA.
